Graduation Requirements

Complete All Academic Coursework

The coursework at WVI is designed to build a strong Biblical foundation for understanding life and vocation as callings within the kingdom of God. The student will be expected to attend all courses, participate in discussions, and complete all assigned work. Regular testing and evaluation will be conducted to ensure that the student is grasping the content and achieving the academic expectations for each course.

Students who are taking classes for credit will have to assure that they pass the SUE course assessments that will be offered at our location and graded by our partners at SEU.

Complete Apprenticeship

First year students are expected to participate in an apprenticeship for a minimum of 14 weeks. During their participation they will be subject to performance reviews from their company. These reviews must be favorable and demonstrate patterns of personal and professional growth. Students must obtain a positive letter of recommendation from their employer upon the fulfillment of their apprenticeship.

Complete Ministry Work

The ministry portion of the WVI program is intended to help connect the head and heart to the hands. The student will be required to actively participate in local, community-driven ministry work and within their local church. Additionally, the student will be encouraged to grow in their leadership and develop a heart for serving God's people.

Graduation Project

The Graduation Project is a capstone experience where students apply everything they've learned from their coursework and apprenticeships. This required project culminates in a multimedia presentation that showcases a deep understanding of their apprenticeship business.

This project is tailored to the student's unique experience and career goals.

All students will create a comprehensive presentation that covers the vision, mission, and purpose of your apprenticeship business. The presentation will include research on its structure, an overview of its short- and long-term plans, and an analysis of the value it brings to the industry and community. In addition to the core components, you will develop a strategic improvement or development plan for your specific department within the business. This demonstrates your ability to think critically and contribute innovative solutions.

For aspiring entrepreneurs: If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, you have the option to forgo the standard presentation and instead develop and present a detailed business plan for a venture you plan to launch. This provides a platform to refine your ideas and showcase your entrepreneurial skills.
